Spring shoes at Target

Happy Saturday, friends! I thought I would do something a little different today and show you all my favorite shoe finds at Target lately–in case you’re in the mood for a little Saturday shoe shopping 😉

If you’ve ever asked me where I got a pair of shoes, you might have been surprised when I said Target! Target shoes are diamonds in the rough. There may Be no good ones at all for a while, and then one day you’ve got five pairs of shoes waiting to come home with you! My favorite time to refresh my shoe wardrobe is when they run their periodic BOGO 50% shoe sales.

For a heels girl, I have been so into mules and loafers this spring! They feel fresh and chic and I’m enjoying the change. I don’t have all of these pairs yet; but if I don’t have them, they are definitely on my wish list!

White mules– $22.99

These are easily my most-worn shoes of the past two months! They go with everything…jeans, dresses, spring sweaters, you name it. I’d even consider buying a back-up pair (crazy as that sounds!)

Blush pink mules – $22.99

I loove this color. You see it everywhere, but blush pink anything (“millennial pink”) is so chic and on-trend right now. Can’t wait to wear these with white jeans and light colors this spring!

Black or tan open-weave mules $22.99

These mules are by the new Universal Threads Line at Target, which has definite Free People themes. These are understated and chic and very summer-appropriate with the open-weave, breathable design. Would be cute with shorts and dresses!

Red kitten-heel mules – $37.99

Kitten heels are back, people! It’s hard to believe because they seemed so dated for a while, but I think these are lovely! So elegant and expensive-looking for the price.

Tan leather slides – $24.99

Another Universal Threads design which just screams summer. Perfect for vacations, Saturdays, shorts or denim dresses…and couldn’t be more comfortable!

Shades of Nude pointy-toe pumps – $29.99

These may not look that exciting, but I bought these a few months ago and they are currently my go-to pump. I also love the “Shades of Nude” concept behind them– if you look online, these pumps come in a range of “nude” colors for all different skin tones which is brilliant. Bravo, Target!

Strappy black heels – $27.99

Another great basic heel that will go with so much this spring and summer! They would be perfect with jeans or dresses.

White sock bootie – $37.99

These may be a “love it or hate it” shoe, but they are so trendy and at an excellent price! The original white sock booties all over Instagram were over $300 and even the Naturalizer version are nearly $150. For less than $40, I’d love to try these out with summer dresses and skirts, and see if I’m cool enough to rock them! 😉

Mountain day

It is officially spring break here…hooray! After Easter Sunday service, we headed to the mountains for Asheville for a refreshing and lovely couple of days. The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful and we loved walking around town. I wore this outfit on our last day, but by far the most memorable thing I wore on the trip was apparently this bag!

If you saw the original version by Cult Gaia that took Instagram by storm last summer, it hasn’t gone anywhere! This bag is back and more popular than ever this spring; and fortunately for us, there are some wonderful dupes to be had. This particular version came from Amazon (for less than a third of the price) and it attracted the most random attention all weekend long! Nearly every place we went, someone (guys and girls) would make a comment. It cracked me up, but J got into it and told everyone where they could find one!

I love all the other elements of this outfit, too…especially these white mules which I have been wearing non-stop the last few weeks. Everyone who knows me in person knows that I am a heels girl, so I have been so surprised how much I loved these comfortable and chic slip-ons!

P.S. If you have never been to French Broad Chocolate Lounge in downtown Asheville, it is soo worth it! It’s one of our must-stops whenever we’re there. Our favorites are the liquid truffle, the pots de creme, the mocha stout cake…you can’t go wrong! 😉
